Arfordir Coastal Heritage Project

Here is a link to some of the work that I got up to whilst studying for my degree at Swansea University.

The link is for the Glamorgan-Gwent Archaeological Trust‘s Arfordir Coastal Heritiage project. I was lucky enough to get involved in this project which aims to gain a better understanding of the coastal historical sites of Wales through surveying, recording, and even excavating them.  The project is important as the coastal sites are constantly changing and suffer from damage from environmental factors as well as other threats. Because of the ever changing landscape of many of the sites and the damage that occurs it is especially important to record as much as possible before they are permanently lost. The project enables further study into the heritage of the Welsh coast as well as engaging the wider public through its volunteering opportunities and it’s on-line presence for members of the public to read and discuss the project in their own time.

In 2011 I took part in a NAS Recording Session which I thoroughly enjoyed.
