New York City Ballet Sells Its Costumes


For the first time in the history of New York City Ballet, founded in 1948 by choreographer George Balanchine, costumes, pointe shoes and jewelry created especially for the theater performances will be on sale through the online store One Kings Lane,today, May 21.The unique pieces which were wear by prima balerinas Kovroski Maria, Ana Sophia Scheller, and Wendy Whelan, and other dancers theater.

Prices start at $ 55 for pointe shoes Janie Taylor and reach up to $ 6000 for a corset, which was made for the ballet “Jewels”.
